The HZ series of grapple tongs from Fransgård Maskinfabrik are designed to grab and move felled or freed logs out of forest areas with tongs. Our grapple tongs are very useful, for example, when the logs are lying shoulder to shoulder after a storm.
The machine is efficient for fast moving of whole or cut logs. The flexible suspension of the grapple tongs make it possible to pull logs out of hard-to-reach areas, while the boom allows the logs to be stacked.
Models in 2 sizesFransgård's HZ grapple tongs are very robust and stable and are used in many places in the world. The sturdy base construction combined with brass bushings in all joints make the grapple tongs very durable and robust, so they can handle most tasks in the forest. The HZ-1500 has an opening width of 1.5 m.
If you need a larger opening width, we recommend our HZ-2300 with an opening width of 2.3 m.
The machine can rotate in the suspension and is fitted with a transport lock.
Hydraulic cylinderThe powerful double-acting cylinder ensures that the logs are held firmly.
TongsThe specially designed tongs close up to 10 cm and provide a very stable tool.
Swing lockThe lock pawl is manually engaged and disengaged. When extending with long logs, the pawl must be turned off so that the tongs can turn freely. The lock pawl can be switched off from inside the tractor via the red cord.
Parallel barsThe 2 parallel bars on each side of the cylinder ensure that the tongs close at the same time.
Sawtooth fittingsFittings with sawteeth under the cross boom, ensure that the logs are held in the tongs during extension.
Support legsThe support legs are easily placed in the bracket and are always at hand when parking the tool.
